SB 120 was held in Committee and did not reach the Senate floor before the end of the 2017-2018 session. Prompt widespread opposition helped keep this bad bill from sneaking through in the final hours. Thanks to all who helped oppose this measure.
CSLRA urges opposition to SB 120
The CSLRA Board of Directors urges members and friends of CSLRA to oppose SB 120. SB 120 would move the goal posts on infrastructure projects and force new, undefined, open-ended reviews to delay needed water, energy &, transportation projects. CEQA and the courts already provide a lengthy, robust environmental review process for projects. At the very least a proposal such as SB 120 should be debated in the legislature per normal process and not jammed through in the waning hours of 2-year legislative session.
